WORK EXPERIENCE:

2008-Present. GE Energy, Mechanical field Engineer. Installation and repair of rotating equipment also repair mechanical drive steam turbine, hydro-generator, turbine-runner, gearbox, compressor and fans. Electromechanical Engineer to provide leadership and technical support of activities for the power generation plants within the region as needed regarding technical issues. Some of the responsibilities include to participate and/or lead teams that focus on specific problem areas or needs for generating units, to initiate/participate in continuous improvement planning and implementation in assigned area of responsibility, to coordinate activities with Vendors/Contractors, to perform field inspections and take field measurements, to analyze technical performance of plant systems and equipment, to perform root cause analysis of system and equipment problems, to develop and evaluate alternative solutions to engineering problems, prepare studies/scope statements outlining alternative solutions, and recommend least cost solutions, etc. Responsible for both phases of the projects - tendering and construction. Responsible for developing detailed specifications for the main process equipment (boiler, turbine, air-cooled condenser, fuel handling). In charge of developing datasheets and specification for mechanical balance of plant equipment (pumps, tanks, heat exchangers, de-mineralized water, compressed air, etc…). Responsible for the preparation of the request for proposal for mechanical equipment, request for proposal for mechanical contractor, selection and follow up with suppliers and the mechanical contractor. Responsible for interfacing with the civil, electrical and Landscape engineers on support requirements.

 
2006-2008. Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc- Logan Twp. NJ. Plant Services Engineer: Installation and maintenance of Heavy equipments, Corrugators, extruders and downstream equipment for plastic manufacturing of HD-polyethylene PIPES for drainage. Also installation of new facilities at nationwide and international. 
   
2000-2006 Linc Facility Services – FEDEX, Newark International AIRPORT, NJ 
Maintenance Engineer: Duties included, coordinating and directing the 52 maintenance CREW and repair of all equipment including conveyors, lifts, instrumentation and controls, Pumps, blowers, boilers and compressors. Implements preventative maintenance programs, evaluating potential new equipment for purchase, manage the parts and supply inventory. Ensure all related maintenance records are accurate and current. Supervisor the activities of 52 assigned maintenance personnel, and keep management informed of all activities.

Foreman: Duties included Supervising and hands-on maintaining and troubleshooting of conveyor sorting system, hydraulic system, welding machine, etc. 
 
1992-1996 Automated Recycling Technologies – Newark, NJ 
Maintenance Supervisor: Duties included, creating a predictive and preventive maintenance program for the conveyor system. Shift scheduling, repairing and maintenance of conveyors, blowers, shakers, hydraulic system, and welding.

 
1990-1992 Dominican oil Refinery 
Electromechanical Engineer: Duties included Engineering and supervision of installation and start-up activities of work on-site. Support and coordinates construction interface activities in accordance with Management Plan.  
 
1988-1990 Dominican Power and Light Corp. – Dominican Republic 
Project Engineer: Duties included, Engineering and Construction, including directing and coordinating multiple disciplines from incepting of engineering through start-up, testing of equipment, site and equipment layout, technical design review, process engineering, instrument and control systems, vendor equipment selection and negotiation, troubleshooting and problem resolution, coordination of installation activities. Supervision and start-up activities, employee training, documentation and executive reporting.

 
ACHIEVEMENT: Low Pressure Boiler License (Black Seal) 
                                 I hold a TWIC card.
