Electric Power Plant – Project Manager

 

Location: Portland, OR

 

Relocation Assistance Available

                                                 

Established power generating company is seeking an experienced Hydroelectric Project Manager for a key position in the Portland, Oregon area. The successful candidate will begin with proposals and estimates and continue until the facility is turned over to the client.

 

  

Responsibilities

  • Perform as Project Manager for major improvement and maintenance projects on electric power plants.

  • Hydroelectric project proposals and estimating.

  • Project management of hydroelectric projects to include: costing, bidding, scheduling, contracts, construction, and close-out experience.

  • Direct management of mechanical and construction subcontractors who specialize in power plant work.

  • Cost and schedule control of projects

  • Management of multiple projects

 

Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering preferred

  • 5 years supervisory experience managing personnel and subcontractors.

  • 7+ years proven on schedule and on budget, hydroelectric plant project management experience.

  • Solid knowledge and background of hydroelectric plant construction, operations and maintenance.

  • Skilled in handling multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Business development experience in the hydroelectric industry strong plus.

 

Viable candidates alternatively with, maintenance, operations, and engineering supervisors with plenty of large project experience will be considered.
